Our lives center around food. Our hand press espresso maker stopped working today which was a heartbreaking way to start the day! (Don't worry, Jeremy rigged up a drip coffee system that will hopefully carry us through). Our daily routine revolves around the 3 meal deliveries, which include a LOT foods as you can see from this above photo. Meals have been pretty tasty, and we're grateful for options for food deliveries and room service. Today is the first day we are ordering pizza for the boys as they didn't have much for them to choose from for both lunch and dinner. We get a menu a few days ahead of time with two choices (see below). I'm grateful for lots of veggies and usually a salad option at least once a day.
Day 7 also means COVID-19 test #2. The nursing team pushes a cart down the hall, confirms your details, and does a doorway swab; check out Jeremy's turn below. The staff are efficient and gentle, so the kids have not been bothered too much by the process!
Today marks the halfway point of our quarantine! One of the most difficult aspects, other than just boredom, is being stuck indoors. Normally Jeremy and I get 10,000-15,000 steps a day and since we have been indoors.... it's more like 2,000 (see below). The stationary bike and PT exercises have helped, but we are eager to be able to get OUTSIDE and move around again!
